The Cottage is a large new build house, which had been specifically designed by ARA Architects to accommodate the needs of the disabled client. The build includes a full footprint basement which houses a hydrotherapy pool and therapy room, a lift shaft to provide access to all floors for the client, and an extremely complicated roof which came about as a result of a strict local planning authority. Due to the specific requirements of the client, it was imperative that all parties involved worked closely with one another to ensure the needs of both the client and family were met.
